chicksinger,
You might benefit by going back and reading older posts and also reading the thread "New to Lyme" at the top, if you haven't already. We've discussed these very issues many times...we are all feeling these same frustrations as you are. Have you seen the movie "Under Our Skin" or read the book "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub? These are excellent sources for the the whole story behind all of this, and they will help you to feel like you know what's going on and helps it make sense. I was so skeptical and felt like nothing made sense either until I got the movie and read the book. I have to warn you though, the book is not light reading -- it took me a month or two to read, so I could absorb and understand it all. This forum is a great place for learning and feeling accepted. If you haven't yet, you will soon find out that no one cares or wants to hear about Lyme Disease. Many of us feel quite alone even in our own families because it's invisible and the medical field discounts us -- family members think if it's that bad the medical field would certainly be helping/helpful to us.
