To springsjean,
I get the same abdominal pain. I have had it for the past 3 years at least. I finally got diagnosed with lyme disease after suffering with terrible so called fibro pain and rheumatoid pain with elevated rheumatoid factor. I believe a lot of my pain is mainly nerve pain. I also suffer from migraines that are caused from the pain in my abdomen. I had this sharp stabbing pain on my right side below my rib cage after eating a heavier then usual dinner, then developed pain in my right shoulder blade, then my neck got very tight and it the pain then went into my head. It is called an abdominal migraine and is caused by a malfunction of the vegus nerve. I also suffer from frequent constipation and rapid heart rate. I have been on a strict diet for almost 3 years because of these problems. I have to eat small meals about
5-6 times a day, low glycemic and a lot of fresh or steamed veggies, nuts and low carbs. I don't do well taking in to much soluble fiber (like whole grain breads or pasta) because it can make the constipation worse. I also take prescript
ion digestive enzymes to help break down my food so I don't get to gassy and set off my vegus nerve. This does help. When you get the abdominal pain think about
what you are eating and if it sits heavy in your stomach or gives you gas. I find also when I am herxing the abdominal pain is at its worst. My nerves go haywire. Diet and digestive enzymes may help. I also have pain there on an empty stomach. It could also be do to inflammation in the body or a combination of both. I take magnesium to keep my bowels moving but some times this causes to much gas. Thing that really help me are eating nuts, salads and small frequent meals. Hope this helps.
