I really need some hot sunny weather like NOW. I have always had Seasonal Affective Disorder... but combine that with Lyme and winter is hell. Seasonal depression and Lyme depression teaming up and kicking my brain in the ***. I'm in MA and nice weather is almost here. My old self probably would have just traveled south by now but my anxiety keeps me local.
My recent blood tests showed NOTHING wrong with me. My doctor tested for everything we could think of (including the co-infections that he skipped a year ago). Everything was normal... so thats good news. However I have had random symptoms which indicate an autoimmune disease but we haven't figured out which one yet. We tested for certain ones but my doctor says those aren't easy to diagnose because most of them don't even have tests. Lame.
I do feel I am improving... slowly... but if I could just spend a couple months soaking up the sun I think that will really help me get better. I hope so anyway.
In the mean time... does anyone know any herbs/supplements that are good for ANXIETY? Preferably ones that you or a friend has had success with. I tried St. Johns Wart for a month but that didn't seem to do much for me. Right now I am trying a Valerian supplement (mixed with Hops, Passion Flower, Lemon Balm)... I think it's been chilling me out... but too soon to tell since I've only been taking for a couple days now. Let me know!
