ltime between treatment and herx

I am afraid mi nightmare has come true. My son was diagnosed with reactivated mono, I don't think its mono

i put him on tetracycline 500 mg tid, and its been 3 weeks he emailed me and is 'worse" today neck and back i think he said

when i was sick (lol) anyway I herxed like later than that. However i think dr l said the greater the distance between treatment and herx the worse the infection. Anybody know about this ? this would be good news for mi son .

That's the first time I have ever heard of that. I guess it does make sense though if you think about it because if it's a chronic infection, normally the bacteria are burrowed in the joints, muslce, etc., so it does make sense that it would take longer for the antibiotics to reach them. Very interesting indeed.
