Hi to whomever is out there,
I am new here. I am trying to find out what is wrong with me. I tested negative for Lyme Disease, and had a doctor send me to a Rheumatologist. Who isn't sure if I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. After speaking to a group of people about Lyme they said I have the symptoms, and suggested I ask my doctor for antibiotics. The general doctor gave me amoxicillin (400 mgs twice a day). Was told by a nurse that was not adequate and asked my Rheumatologist for the right dosage. She gave me 500 mg amoxicillin 3 times a day. My symptoms started with severe headache (stayed in bed for 3days)fatigue, needed to rest every afternoon, and aching in arms and legs(painful). I went to doctor and she ignored me for over a month. I finally complained so much she sent me to rheumatologist. By this time I had pain in both elbow and both wrists. I just made appointments with two specialists in LYme. One at Westchester Medical Center in the Lyme department, and another appointment with a Dr. C. in Mount Kisco, NY. I have been on antibiotic since April 14th, I am suppose to stay on for 28 days. A lot of the fatigue has dissipated, but elbows still painful to touch, although maybe not as much. The wrists a little painful, not bad. Can anyone out there give me there opinion? Thanks everybody.
