Good documentary about Lyme disease on netflex. It's called under our skin. I have been curious about it because I suffer from chronic illnesses. I remember many years ago having a tick under my skin for some time. They used finger nail polish remover to get it out. I was wondering if you can harbor that bacteria from all those years? The documentary was very good. I hope you can view it.

Thanks - yes, the "Under Our Skin" documentary is excellent. There is a companion book called "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub that covers some of the info in the movie but in a little more depth than what they had time to cover in the movie.

Yes, bacteria from that tick bite years ago may still be inside your body and could emerge anytime your immune system is compromised (such as by severe stress, another illness, an accident, etc.). So I see you say you have chronic illnesses - these may be triggered by the bacteria from that tick bite, it is hard to know for sure without consulting a Lyme-Literate MD. I'd recommend that you do consult such a physician if you are at all interested in finding out if your chronic illnesses are related to that old tick bite.
