I've been on abx for a few months now for Lyme (which I've had for 10+ years)...and I already know I have some sort of adrenal fatigue but I'm starting to wonder about Addison's disease. These new symptoms actually started a week or two BEFORE I started abx, which is why I'm confused. All of a sudden my blood pressure is plummetting, I've been getting fevers which I never used to, I've been extremely lightheaded, losing weight to an unhealthy point and having attacks of nausea almost daily, which are all new symptoms, in addition to the same old symptoms I automatically attributed to lyme (fatigue, weakness, anxiety, pain, etc.).

Am I just being paranoid? Is this probably all just Lyme related or herx-related? Or should I bring it up to my LLD? Does anyone have Addison's or know the difference between it and what I'm experiencing? Thanks in advance!!

No you are not being paranoid.  I have often thought (and still do) wonder how much the adrenals are affected by lyme.  I get very weak legs by the end of the workday at 3PM or under stress and wonder if it is exhaustion related to the adrenals.  However, I've been doing a lot of research on babesia cause I think my husband may have and if I'm not mistaken I think it (or one of the coinfections) list these symptoms.  I would definitely mention to LLMD.

Hi Borderlyme,

Welcome to the forum! You will get a lot of good support and advice here. If you haven't already, do read the "New to Lyme?..." thread at the top of the forum. Lots of good info there.

I had a lot of the symptoms you mentioned but I also had Ehrlichia and Babesia. You did not mention any co-infections.

Lyme can mimic or trigger Addison's. You should definitely discuss these symptoms with your doctor during your next visit.
