I was having such a rough time that the LLMD started to give me IVs of nutrients and liver support - B12, magnesium, selenium, taurine, glutathione and heperin. These helped a lot but wore off quickly. I even test positive for mononucleosis!) I was up-and-down and felt like I was losing ground.
Okay, fast-forward to last Thursday...I felt pretty good in the AM (I had taken off work for the week to try and get a better handle on things) and went to have a tooth fixed. The tooth had cracked in half this past March but it was back in my mouth so not able to be seen easily, so I had WAITED to have anything done. Since I have Lyme (and also mono by this point), I decided to go to a biological dentist who specializes in non-mecury and other non-toxic materials. The tooth that had cracked had exposed a large amalgam filling and I wanted to get it out and replaced with something else. The dentist performed the procedure - it was over at about 4:00 in the afternoon and my spirirts were high. By 6:30pm, I was is a MAJOR episode of what I can only describe as a mini-seizure! It lasted 2.5 hours and I truly thought I was going to die.
The next day, a similar event in the AM but not quite as bad - I could not drive so my parents took me to the LLMD where I received every form of IV she had. She thought that the removal of the filling had poisoned my system and since I was already on toxin-overload had caused a major toxic reaction and sent me for a blood test. I felt a little better by the afternoon of that day. By the next day - Saturday - I was feeling very good - the best I had felt in weeks! I even played golf with my wife in the afternoon! What a difference a day makes! Sunday was still good but not as good. I went back to work on Monday and Tuesday this week and struggled through a fairly frequent cycle of feeling very good to feeling pretty bad. Today, I am feeling the same however, each day seems a little better than the last!
Today, I went back to the LLMD for the results of my latest blood test. Verdict - HIGH MERCURY TOXICITY (blood levels). Not good, but something we can work on now! The goal is to get this stabilized back to lower levels (I have been taking EDTA and chlorella).
