Some interesting news this morning!
Back in October of 2010, the CDC took down information that stated that the causative agent of Lyme Disease (Borrelia burgdorferi) can be transmitted by the Brown Dog tick, and the Lone Star tick, and stated that Lyme Disease in humans is rare to non-existent.

Well, now we find out that the American Brown Dog tick
VIEW IMAGE also transmits Tuleremia. According to a report in the "Journal for Medical Entomology". Unfortunately I only have access to the abstract of this article, but it can be found here:
