DR H - CANT GET THROUGH

Hi All --


So I am trying to get through to Dr H. I was given her number by this board and every time I call I get the voicemail. I have NEVER in my life had to call a doctors office to get to a voicemail machine (After several rings). It does say not to leave multiple messages as it ties up their lines/mailbox and that they give a 24 hour turn around to respond, they have yet to respond to my calls/voicemails, its awful. Aren't LLMD's supposed to be the doctors that know the most when it comes to Lyme? If so, doesn't she know the importance of time for treating Lyme. Ugh, frustrating.......Well anyways, wondering if anyone has seen her (Massachusetts) or knows of an alternate number or way of reaching her...I have heard good things about her but seems office stuff is terrible.

I can most certainly understand the frustrations that you are feeling!! I'm really sorry. Are you sure that they there today? There could be all kinds of reasons why they didn't answer. Hang in there, the wait through the weekend and even a little into next week won't make any difference in your infections.

My Lyme doctor staffs his office totally with Lymies, I think they are working off their treatment costs. You don't really know what you are going to get from them!

sure but can i post that? or maybe i just cant post it in the title line, dr h .... my primary care actually gave me her name and i was given her name from internet resource.....i cant imagine us not being allowed to post her name seeing that my primary care gave it to me...and if we actually have to remove i honestly would believe that llmds practice shady business, maybe convincing vulnerable people that they have lyme when they dont ..... and therefore get a lot of money out of them (none of them will accept my insurance yet all other specialists do) .... idk seems really shady to me. even like chiropractors and such I don't really believe works but even they accept insurance and u dont have to be so hush hush, i just think if i cant post the docs name on here to me.....thats very strange and probably might be bc they are diagnosing ppl or leading them to believe they have lyme ... who knows, sorry its frustrating.

Neuro my e-mail is right under my name on my posts. You can just click that and should take you right to my e-mail. Lyme doctors mainly don't take insurance because insurance companies do not agree with ILADS treatment guidelines. They go by the CDC guidelines. If anything regular doctors are the ones making out by ignoring Lyme and thinking only 30 days of treatment kills all the bacteria. It has been reported that they receive money from the insurance companies and are pretty much paid to push the CDC guidelines. I felt like you did before about the whole thing. But after seeing an LLMD for a few years and receiving proper treatment I improved a bunch and can say from personal experience the CDC guidelines are junk. In some states a doctor can lose their medical license for prescribing more than 30 days antibiotics. That is why we withhold their names on the forums. It's not the LLMDs who are shady but the insurance companies that are shady... They don't want to pay for us to receive proper treatment.

I was doing really well after my treatment with my old LLMD from NY. I lost my insurance and thought I was as good as I was going to get. Didn't finish treatment and relapsed. So now I'm looking to find a LLMD in MA if possible. I have received one name from Britgirl of one in MA but am still exploring my options while I wait for my Masshealth to get approved.
