So almost 2 years ago i got tendonitis in my adductor tendons [tendons in the inside of ur leg] from lifting too much.

Now getting to the subject of lyme. I had mice and these mice got some sort of a parasite which caused them to basically scratch themselves to death except one, which just randomly died.

Soon after i developed a circular rash on my stomach that was mostly red with a dark red outline. I also got heart palpitations almost constantly for little over a week. Now 22 months later my tendonitis has effected my whole lower body. [ik how lyme can effect tendons as much as joints] My adductor muscles, knees and now down to my ankles and feet. Along with other areas that dont need mentioning. My palpitations r still there just not as often.

Just recently i asked my doctor about lyme and got a blood test and it came back negative which is not suprising.

So my question to you all is what other tests can i talk to my doctor about so i can be diagnosed?

Welcome to the forum. I would recommend reading "New to lyme - Start Here" if you haven't already done so. It gives so many good links and sites.

I myself would go straight to Igenex and have lyme testing done. They are the premier lyme lab in the country and confirmed diagnosis for myself and my husband and my son's dr. (different than ours) is sending his blood to them to check for coinfections.

They are expensive but I would rather know and get the proper treatment than jeopardize your health and fool around trying to get the proper diagnosis.

Have you been to an LLMD? They really are the most knowledgeable when it comes to this baffling disease. Best of luck to you.

My Lyme symptoms began with tendonitis in my elbows. Joints were fine, only the tendons were afftected. Lyme does love tendons for some reason, in certain people.

I had no other symptoms for many months, so I didn't even suspect Lyme until all sorts of other problems arose.

Great that you're thinking "Lyme".....at this stage. I'd go for the IgeneX testing too. Wish I had!

Welcome to the forum!! I'm glad you found us!! It certainly sounds to me like you should get evaluated by a knowledgeable LLMD!! A good LLMD would be willing to do a clinical diagnosis (as per the CDC guidelines) and not rely completely on the faulty testing that is available.

To add to what the others have already said ( and they have given some good advice!), I wouldn't count on your GP to give you a referral to a LLMD. I just don't believe that a person would have a good chance at finding a good LLMD through a doc that doesn't understand Lyme.

Why not allow us to help you find one as close as possible to you? There aren't that many good LLMD's out there yet, compared to regular docs, so you may have to do some traveling, but lots of us do.

What I would suggest is to start a new thread with the title reading something like "Need help finding a LLMD in the ___________ area." Then in the post explain a bit about where you would be willing to travel to see a LLMD. I have a few names of docs, but out biggest resource is our members! A new post like that would allow them to more easily help you find an LLMD.

Please be sure to not give out personal details as we are on an open forum - anyone can read these posts.
