For the third night this week! Almost 5 AM and ive already read and played every game in my phone and I'm tired but i can't sleep!!

So frustrating...I wish I could deal with this like a healthy person would and just say oh well I'm up I'll start my day early! But I can't. I cannot function if I just don't sleep.

I lay my head on the pillow and I hear my heart pounding through my ear. I'm getting weird sounds and buzzing in my ears, and even a pop! No hallucinations, thankfully. In just so frustrated right now. I want so badly to get on a normal sleep schedule. When I sleep until noon or later my day is shot! This is just torture, yet sadly, as with every other awful symptom, im starting to get used to it.

I guess I got a little ahead of myself last week when I thought I was getting better enough to start working and socializing soon. Bummer. Hope you're all sleeping like babies!

Sounds like you could be experiencing some tinnitus, Border. That's fairly common with those infected with TBI's - sorry you may be joining the ranks. Try sleeping with some soft music or ocean sounds on or something like that. When my tinnitus is really acting up I can't sleep because of the noise, so I have to 'cancel it out' with other noise. Weird, but sometimes it really works well.

Just a thought.

I do sleep with nature sounds...but these sounds I guess are coming from inside my brain or something. I think I was herxing or something because I felt horrible on top of it. I think the cat's claw is giving me insomnia, honestly. Gonna try cutting down my morning caffeine, and picking up some melatonin since I'm not producing my own.

Worst part of not sleeping last night is I had to go to best buy to deal with a computer problem and ended up yelling at a bunch of people because I'm so overtired and cranky. Woops!

I think we should be able to buy t-shirts that say "Don't mess with me, I have Lyme".... or maybe "Lyme rage is very real....Wanna find out"???? Should we start a thread of nothing but t-shirt sayings....????? I bet some would be priceless.....

BTW, I use Calms Forte by Hyland for sleep.  Homeopathic.   Depends on the kind of day I've had and the kind of night I'm expecting whether I use 1, 2 or 3 tablets.  I've described it as letting me sleep as opposed to making me sleep.
