Extreme Itchyness/Piercing Pain/static electricity reaction???HELPPP!

i itch about 20 mintues after i take my antibiotics....and even though im a woman...i am very aware of my "womanhood" about an hour after i take my meds...and im NOT AROUSED its just very sensitive...but do you think its an allergic reaction? have you asked your llmd to switch your meds to see if possibly something else may better agree with you?

Welcome to our little spot here!! I am sooo sorry to hear what all you have been going through! Sounds more than painful! I had to edit some of your details, as this is a family site - if it's not really a good idea for youngsters to see it, then we really shouldn't be putting it up here in print - sorry., but I don't think that it takes anything away from your post though.

If you haven't already, it would be beneficial for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled,"New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of relevant information, symptom lists and informative links that have been put together by our members here! Most of those who have read through it have said that it was very helpful!! We also have a pretty good search function on this forum to help you narrow down your search for information from past posts.

Those skin symptoms sure do sound like an allergic reaction, so please watch yourself closely!! Lyme does cause some skin symptoms though as well. Things like skin sensitivity -to the point that clothing and even a sheet over you will hurt, as well as different types of rashes.

I get that static reaction as well! I don't remember anyone else bringing it up before, but I always figured it had to be from one of my TBI's (Tick-borne infections)!! Why else would I always have so much trouble with it?

I would suggest a couple of things. First - take an antihistamine. This will lesson the 'itchies' if they are being caused by a slight allergy to the abx. You may need to take another antihistamine again in just two hours if it's an allergy, but be sure not to do this for days - that won't help you and will only put your body under more stress.

Next I would get on a strong dose of probiotics - one of the good ones that you have to go to a health food store to get out of their refrigerated section - or kefir. If you don't know what kefir is, please 'google' it, as it has more kinds of good bacteria for your intestines than anything else out there...and you can make it at home if you are interested!! Keeping the good bacteria in your intestines will help tremendously with the yeast, since this is where things get out of balance with yeast issues.

And NO sugar. Avoid it in your food and drinks, and don't use regular sugar in anything. Most of us use Stevia, although there are plenty of others that use Agave or other natural sweeteners. Stay away from artificial sweeteners - they create their own issues in our bodies that we just don't need to deal with right now!

Olive leaf extract is a natural 'antibiotic', so you have basically just started two new abx. Please be sure that you are detoxing, dry skin brushing and drinking plenty of water as well! If you aren't sure about how to detox when dealing with this set of infections, we have a great post in the the "New to Lyme" thread at the top of the forum that explains it quite well and what you need to do - it's the second post I believe.

Well, I just learned something from your post! I've been a member for a year now.

I have had that static electricity reaction - off and on. Never knew it was lyme related.
