O2 sat. of 75% is really low...it shouldn't get below 95%.
Lyme is known to cause or aggravate existing sleep apnea, which causes a person to stop breathing repeatedly all night long. The lack of oxygen and lack of sleep can lead to chronic fatigue and increases the risk of stroke & heart disease.
Also, oxygen kills Lyme and a lot of the other pathogens associated with Lyme (co-infections).
My O2 sats were dropping at night due to positional Asthma (i.e., I'd get Asthma when I lie down in bed to go to sleep). So my doctor prescribed an oxygen concentrator. Unfortunately for me, I couldn't sleep with the noise the thing made...but then discovered that I was no longer getting Asthma at night when I took Singulair (a non-steroidal Asthma medication).
