Morning Revelation- Clear EM Rash evidence found!

So if you've read my initial post, you're aware that I am symptomatic for Lyme and that I suspect having been bitten while camping in New England in the end of Jully. Also, I was previously bitten and diagnosed with Lyme around 15 to 20 years ago after developing a very visible EM rash on my lower leg. This time I saw no rash, but after having symptoms I found a little sore on the top of my head which seemed suspect when I began piecing things together in my mind.

Now here's what I discovered today. I was going through some old emails in my work inbox trying to clean it up when I opened a photo attached to an email that was forwarded from my home email. The photo was of me and my daughter at the beach around a week after I returned from my camping trip (family wasn't with me on the camping trip). As I'm looking at the photo it jumps right out at me.....I have a bright red, round circle coming down and peeking out from my hairline right at the top of my forehead! At the time I remember being really confused thinking that I just got thee strangest patch of sunburn on my face that I've ever seen. It is a very defiined circular red mark which goes right up towards where the sore was that I found about a month after the photo was taken (and the redness was clear by then).

I found the EM rash! I went back and looked through more photos from thatt day and it's so obvious now.... I am also now remembering how miserable I felt right after that and how I just chalked it up to sunburn or too much sun exposure. It just goes to show you how easy it can be to overlook a hidden bite rash. Wow.

HOLY COW ..what a flip out!!! I can totally relate to your story.

I had a housee on Fire Island for years and the dear were everywhere.

I have a photo of me in my pajamas sitting on my deck FEEDING A DEER
right up close. Those deer use to have the swollen tick bites on them and
we never even knew what was going on back then.

I remember at one point that same weekend competely loosing my mind
and getting very sick................and things got worse and worse after that.

Traveler- I'm definitely bringing those photos with me along with the photos my wife took of the little open sore which was on the top of my head. I still can't get over just how obvious it is now when at the time I did not think anything at all about it being related to my camping trip or Lyme disease.

Carrie- Thanks. As much of a disappointment as it is to have not realized what it was at the time, it's a source of relief now just to have confirmation. Seeing the photos really put everything neatly into place....just like I solved a crime! ;)

My LLMD appointment is in a couple of weeks, and at this point I've decided to CANCEL my appointment with the neurologist next week.
