Hi guys I'll try to keep this short and I know you're not doctors but I'm trying to figure out what's going on? Thinking I might have Lyme.

I first started having trouble about 5 years ago, I was lying in bed one night and went down stairs to get a drink and suddenly felt like my heart was stopping, so I had a panic attack thinking I was going to die. I've never really felt right since then. It past, but I started getting it more often, and pain in my left arm and lightheaded. I thought I had heart problems so I went to a doctor and he did tons of tests and found out my heart was fine, he did blood work and finally said I had anxiety.

I then went to an phyical theripist and he said my left side was tighter then my right which it is.

It's worse when I excerise and I would get shortness of breath, tight chest feeling stuff like that.

It when away and come back on and off for a few years. Then a few months ago I caught a cold and everything started to get way worse,

Body jolts

head zaps

electic shock feeling in head

randomshooting pain

pain on right side of head that goes into my ear, teeth and neck

all the heart stuff I had before

lightheaded all the time

weakness on left side of body

tingling, buzzing mostly on left side but some on right

numbness on right side of face

blurry eyes

sensitive to noise

water in ears in the morning

runny nose since I've been sick

dizzy

feeling spaced out

hard time focusing

panic attacks

stomach stuff

seeing spots

pain in left hand joints

eye pain

feeling like I'm going crazy

tired all the time

feeling like I'm not getting enough air

month feeling numb

trouble relaxing

can't sleep

feeling like I have a fever or are just sick

symptoms that come and go and change

a lot of stuff I can only call weird or not feeling right

not sure if that's everything but that's all I can think of right now. I've been bitten by at least 3 ticks that I know of when I was younger one was very tiny and on my for a couple weeks before I realize what it was. Didn't see a rash but heard you don't have to.

I went to more doctors one said I have heavy metals, one thinks I have MS but I can't afford the MRI. I would really like to hear what you guys think and alslo if you know of any LLMD's in Idaho?

Welcome to the forum. So sorry you are feeling ill and not getting help from your doctors.

Seems to me you should definitely look into Lyme disease. It could explain a lot of your troubles.

You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) doctor. The ILADS site is a great place to read to get you started on your Lyme journey.

Almost every.single.thing on your list of symptoms were things that I experienced before a doctor told me I had Lyme, so yeah, I'd say it's a possibility you could have Lyme.

Have you been on antibiotics for any reason since your strange symptoms started? If so, do you remember having any odd reactions?

How recent was your last tick bite?

I did a web search for Idaho Lyme groups and came up with this info: http://lyme-aware.org/news/lydias-blog/964-idaho-lyme-support-groups.html. You may be able to go through the lady on there to find out about an LL doctor out your way.

Thanks so much for both of your replies and the links!

@Grace I've never had to take antibiotics for anything and the last tick I rememeber was quite awhile ago but I've lived in the woods my whole live and we were always picking the big ticks off. So who knows.

Another way you can find an LLMD/DO is by calling up general practitioner offices and asking whether any of the doctors there actively treat Lyme patients, and if so, whether it is a lot or a few. If they answer with something like that they have a doctor that sees new Lyme patients a certain day each week or month, then you know you've found a winner! If the receptionist seems to have no clue whether the doctors see very many Lyme patients, then hang up and try somewhere else.

You may not have Lyme, but finding a doctor that is knowledgable in what it looks like and how to treat it would help you know whether to pursue it or not.

Oh, Silver Wolf, I'm so sorry to hear about all you're going through! With your symptoms and likely exposure it definitely makes sense to seek out an LLMD. You've suffered long enough. Whether it's Lyme, co-infections, or whatever it might be - there is clearly something going on, something much more than anxiety, and I'm so sorry to hear that your symptoms were attributed to anxiety. It happens to so many of us but it is unacceptable treatment.

The most important thing you can do is be proactive about your health, don't take no (or "I don't know," for that matter) for an answer! Chronic illness can be very confusing, but healing is certainly out there.

Looking into Lyme is a great place to start. Most LLMDs are very knowledgable about all that can go wrong in the body to cause chronic symptoms like you're experiencing.

In the meantime, if you look at the "New to Lyme?.....Start Here!" thread, there are a lot of suggestions for detoxing, which might help alleviate your symptoms regardless of what exactly is causing them.

Thanks again! I'm so glad to find someone that doesn't like I'm crazy! Everyone else (save my mom) says I'm making up stuff for attention, I wish! I'm more of the person that doesn't complain unless I feel like I'm dying. One doctor I saw at the ER did say it sounded like it could be some type of virus. I'm hoping I will finally figure something out.
I think doctor's give up on us too early!

I used to live in Idaho myself!! Way up north near Coure D'alene. Have a whole lot of memories from that area!!

It does sound like you really should be evaluated by a LLMD. Sorry I don't have any info on any in your area!! Please be sure to educate yourself as best as you can so that you can be your own health advocate - it's absolutely necessary to be able to protect what health that you have!

As Borderlyme said, we have a great deal of info in the "New to Lyme?" thread at the top of the forum for a good start. We also have a really good search function to help you find other posts that match up with what you are wanting to/ needing to read more about.

And we are here!! We can help point you in the right direction to find the answers you need!! smilewinkgrin
