Did anyone's CD57 rise in a month of treatment?

I'm going to be having my CD57 retested after one month of treatment. What is the liklihood that it would have gone up in this amount of time? I feel worse than I did when I had the first one done.

So far I've only had mine tested 3 times - started at 11, 6 months later it was up to 32, then down to 28, which may have been because I was accidentally treating bartonella.

I've heard that for some people, progress is very slow at first, but it skyrockets toward the end of treatment. If yours hasn't gone up much - don't be discouraged!

Do you have coinfections? If you're treating them as well, the CD57 may not budge as much.

I had negative tests for co-infections but babesia may be likely. I just think that a month seems soon to see any change. I wonder if it's even worth testing or if the real reason behind testing so soon is to make sure it isn't going down.

I go back and forth with this. I figure if I'm getting blood drawn anyway it's interesting at the very least to know what's going on with the CD57, but at the same time, seeing that it went down from 32 to 28 really got me down for a while, so maybe it was better not to know.

In the first couple of months I felt so awful that I'm pretty sure I killed quite a few of those little buggers, but I think the CD57 takes a little time to catch up as well. As with everything - it all takes time, which is frustrating!

Yes mine did. Started out at 25 and with second test it's 50 so it's gone up a bit, but I still don't feel any different.

It was actually 2 months, sorry about that...and i"ve been taking a probiotic once a day..just read your comment about probiotics raising cd 57...do you know where I can read about that? I wonder if taking a probiotic is the reason for the increase...... I wasn't doing anything else, no money to buy anything for detox or extra herbs...

but I am taking B12, vit D , vit C and a probiotic. I have chronic lyme. I don't know if I have co- infections because my doctor won't test for them and I don't have the money to pay for an llmd. I"m kinda lucky that my doctor wasn't going to give me a refill, then lateer on asked me if I needed a refill, so I quickly said yes(I think she forgot that she told me she wanted me to take a break)

That is one of the links I found that states that probiotics raise the percentage of natural killer cells which results in a raise of the CD57 number. There are several more studies that I found by googling probiotics and NK cells.

That would normally be fine with me, since my number is low, but I'm concerned that it will artificially raise the number and show up as a false improvement which will justify staying on the same medications or ending treatment.
