Honestly, I don't know if any protein bars are good.
Most people on antibiotics follow the anti-candida diet. From the sound of things, it is more strict than the diet you are currently following, unfortunately.
You should avoid ANY kind of sugar- cane juice, honey, fructose, sugar etc., all grains/forms of wheat (so I am pretty sure cliff bars are out again because of that), and starchy vegetables and liquor.
Maltitol is an artificial sweetener. I think some people on the anti-candida diet tolerate it ok, but it is known for causing GI upset, and many people out there say to avoid ALL fake sugars except for Stevia when on the anti-candida diet. I've also been told to avoid things with fake ingredients (which is basically every ingredient in the Think Thin bars)- there are a lot of things out there that feed Candida, and a lot of them are additives or man-made ingredients.
Dates are a fruit that are very high in sugar, and should be avoided on the anti-candida diet (I have to avoid ALL fruit- many versions of the diet suggest the same). I've had one once, but I'd be very nervous. I'd consider it the same as eating a banana (which is bad).
As for Cliff and Luna bars- Luna bars are CRAZY high in sugar- they are like chocolate bars! I don't think they count as healthy at all.
Cliff bars are healthier- but they still have a lot of sugar, and I would avoid them if you are on the antibiotics.
I honestly don't know how they would get a bar to stick together without some sort of sugar or fruit.
Why do you want protein bars? What are you looking for with them? Could you substitute something else>
