It protects the dog, but the way Frontline works is that the tick has to bite and then dies. The problem is that ticks sometimes don't settle in to bite for up to two days. During that time, it just roams the dog's body, but it can drop off, crawl onto furniture or a person.
Some people use both Frontline and a tick collar, but my vet told me it still is not foolproof.
Hubby will be out spraying our yard tonight. That worked very well last year. We'll also put in the tick tubes again.
