First of all, your situation sounds much like what I went through when I found out I had Lyme. Only I finished the 4 week dose and said but I'm still sick and wanted further treatment for Lyme and another test perhaps..and the DR told me, NO you will always test positive for Lyme, but you are cured. There is nothing more he would do for me. I was then told I just had Fibromyalgia. Makes me so mad when I kept telling Dr after Dr that I was getting worse and this disease was progressing, followed by them telling me it does NOT progress and when I asked for more Lyme tests, I was completely dismissed and given "pain pills" to almost shut me up!!
Years later, I am very sick and I am so lucky because my husband actually talks about me and how sick I am at work and he had a client tell him that she and her whole family were affected by Lyme and that she had books and movies made about her family and Lyme. She is brilliant and actually now that her family is better, she flew overseas to study some type of psychotheology or something..I can't remember. Anyway, she asked if I had tested positive for Lyme and he said yes and she suggested finding an LLMD. I found one thanks to the lovely folks on this very forum and I am just starting treatment. I have had this for a long time and I'm pretty dang sick.
Don't waste time, get to an LLMD..run! Don't let one more DR tell you that you aren't sick, or it isn't due to Lyme. Shoot, my Dr's nurse practicioner told me Lyme never hurt anyone..
