Hey guys! Basically im having trouble scheduling for an appointment with a llmd here in Michigan so I ask if you guys know any in Ohio that could help me out. If u guys can let me know that would be awesome =]
Oh and a question... Can an llmb diagnose and treat you based on only symptoms? cuz I hear the tests r rather pricey! Thanks guys!

Hi OShea,
You need to enable your email option in your profile so that people can send you recommendations.

A LLMD should diagnose on symptoms mainly!! Even the CDC tells us that this is supposed to be a clinical diagnosis and the tests are only supposed to be used to verify the infection!! It's a real shame when the doc's aren't even aware of this!!

It's been my experience that while some doctors will make a diagnosis of Lyme without a positive test, most will still want to have it done, though.

Depending on your insurance, usually the standard (although less reliable) test is pretty inexpensive - you could always get that done first and wait to see if that's positive. Also depending on your insurance, if you do get better testing done - such as through IGenex, you may get reimbursed for a good chunk of it.

Sorry I can't recommend a doctor in Ohio!
