soooo sick today! need advice about what to do about antibiotics tonight

You must have really shaken some stuff up! That's good, but it's pretty hard to see it that way now, I bet.

Of course, we can't tell you to skip your meds. But I will tell you that my personal rule of thumb is that there is little point taking the meds if I am likely to throw them up anyway!!

Next time, try to space out your changes and upgrades in treatment!!

Call your DR ASAP. I wouldn't be able to continue taking meds that make me throw up..Personally..........that's just me. I hate throwing up!!

BTW--try cutting out the sauna. It makes me very sick when I do that. Try just the meds. But first, please call your doctor as I am not a dr.

i was in the sauna for probably a total of 35 minutes b/w 120-135 degrees, but i left the sauna every 10 min or so to drink water and cool off. i wanted to make sure i was sweating, bc it took me a little while to start sweating.today i am feeling slightly short of breath but i havent thrown up since saturday, and i took all of my antibiotics as prescribed yesterday and today. i bet it was the combo of the sauna and the antibiotic at the same time. could this also cause the shortness of breath im feeling now?

I agree with Springsjean, you did too much for too long. Slow and steady wins this race! Next time try only staying in for a total of ten minutes, then get out and stay out for the day. You can always go right back in the next day if things go well. After about one or two weeks -depending on how your body is handling it - you can try adding on 5 minutes and then give yourself a week or two at that amount of time. I believe that 20 minutes is the longest you should stay in a sauna when you are this ill.

I would venture to guess that is why you are experiencing the shortness of breath as well, although be sure to keep an eye on that. If it continues, be sure to talk to your LLMD about it.

wow, yeah i was a little concerned about beginning them both on the same day but it didnt occur to me how bad it could be! and ive been having a hard time finding appropriate times to start the antibiotics and detoxing around my midterms and schooling schedule. is there anything you would recommend to help me feel better in the meantime before i try sauna again? im afraid of even taking a detox bath bc that might put me over the edge again but i feel like i should be detoxing if i have all these toxins circulating making me feel bad, right?

unfortunately i dont own the sauna so it is with a membership i have at an optimal health clinic- they have hour long sessions. maybe i will talk with them and see if they can do something special for me, given the circumstances
