I have had this experience before. I was feeling great, I mean I had energy and a clear head, the whole happy thing. So I went to autocross school yesterday. It's a full day in the sun. They set up a course with cones and then an instructor gets in the car with you. I had my MINI Cooper screaming around turns and driving very aggressively (it's very safe as it's a closed course). There aren't many women in this sport, so it's all guys pushing me to drive faster and harder. Every run I would feel my adrenaline kick in. I felt great all day long.... However, the stadium where we were working didn't open the bathrooms to us. So I couldn't drink as much as I should have, so I know I was dehydrating. Given the state of high energy I didn't feel the dehydration kicking in.
Then I got home and started to crash. By evening I was sick with a cold. Today, I have a full blown head cold, swollen glands, sore and stiff muscles, that stabbing pain between my shoulder blades is back. My theory is that I just plain blew out my poor little adrenals with too much high intensity fun. When the adrenals get that depleted, I think it lowers the immune system and any little germ or virus that comes my way finds a happy home.
Last night I couldn't sleep so I got up at like 12:30 and took an Epsom salts bath, amazingly, that did something as I slept great after that.
This has happened to me before. I have a day of intense high energy and I'm literally and physically sick the next day.
I didn't take my killing Lyme herbs today, but I did take the supplements that support my health like the fish oil, B Vit, minerals and a lot of greens.
Thoughts?
Anyone else get sick from having fun?
