Hi folks,
I am (fingers, toes and everything else crossed) nearing the end of my lyme nightmare. After a year 1/2 of antibiotics I am now symptom free. On Thursday morning I took my last antibiotics, but have been terrified in case I relapse ever since.
It is now four days later and I haven't had any flare-ups yet. When I last came off the tablets about half a year ago I got headaches again almost instantly. No sign of any such problems yet. My only remaining problem is some nerve pain, which could be due to lyme or tinidazole - no-one knows if this might improve or get worse now I am off the drugs. So far there is no difference. I hope it isn't the lyme, but I also don't like the idea that tinidazole can leave perm nerve damage. I am currently an experiment, and I sure hope I stay well.
I was just wondering how long I need to worry for - is there a time-scale for relapse? I haven't felt this good in years, and I am so worried about getting ill again.
Cheers,
Kirsty
