Hi all,
Firstly, thanks to everyone who has helped me so far on this forum in giving me advice on treatment, doctors etc. I'm currently in London, UK.
I’ve recently Dr F and Dr H in the US in the hope of getting more aggressive treatment from more experience LLMDs. After one of the most insightful, thorough and idea filled consultations I’ve ever had with any doctor in the last 10 years (saw two doctors and was in there for 4.5 hours!) they’ve come up with a treatment plan attacking different infections simultanously using ABX I’ve never had before.
Instead of being on them for 3 months (which is a long time to wait when your on treatment that isn’t working) - they’re plan is to have me on a protocol for a shorter period of 4 - 6 weeks and then change it if it doesn’t have any effect (whether it’s positive or a herx).
All good in my eyes so far.
Ideally, I’m looking to obtain my new regime in the UK to avoid costs of shipping from the US. From what I’ve been told by the Breakspear so far, even though abx my new Dr has prescribed are fairly common for treating other things, UK Drs (including the Breakspear who are Lyme aware) rarely prescribe them due to reactions and potential problems with dysbiosis.
Foreseeing a scenario of my GP potentially not prescribing them, I was wondering if anyone has had any luck obtaining the following in the UK / Europe by any means (whether its privately, NHS, Breakspear etc).
Clindamycin
Biaxin 500 mg
Malarone
Nystatin
Plaquenil
In addition, they’ve also suggested that I should probably looking to get IV Rocephin or even have it injected daily (instead of being hooked up to IV for hours) using a “butterfly” method of delivery. I was also wondering if anyone has had this carried out in the UK / Europe also
Would be great if anyone has experiences with any of the above treatments.
Thanks in advance
Ade
