Chest pain and magnesium

My chest pain and pain on the left side of my chest had been getting worse so I started taking magnesium. It seemed to help for a couple days but now the pain is constant on the left side of my chest. I stopped taking the magnesium 2 days ago and was wondering if I should start taking it again

Hi Fugo,

With any kind chest pain, you need to see a doctor to make sure it's not cardiac (if you haven't done that already). Chest pain and tightness has been a major symptom for me, and although I don't go running to the ER every time I feel something, I make sure that I get evaluated and have any testing that needs to be done when I am having prolonged symptoms.

That being said, if you find that the magnesium helps your symptoms, I would probably take it again. I take Mag Oxide when my PVC's get bad. Sometimes it helps a lot, other times it does nothing, but it's always worth a try.

Yeah I had my normal monthly visit today and everything was fine. They performed a ekg. It's just weird that I'm having such a strong flare up 5 months into treatment. I can barely walk and feel like I'll pass out

I too have had these startling left chest pain and found relief with magnesium. I just recently had aches and pains return for a scary period and again magnesium has settled everything down. It could be that you are overloaded at the moment with toxins. Since everyone's system is different, it may have just taken 5 months for your body to be overloaded with toxins which means that the bacteria is getting killed off. Alsol, be wary of exposure to other toxins such as pesticides, mold, or ever too much stress which can set your body back a little.

Hi! The magnesium is the ONLY thing that has chilled out my intense and scary chest/heart pains. I take 625-800 mg per day. I was taking 800 (4 pills) but switched to a different brand and it was 6 pills for 625..ugh..I don't want to swallow more (bad gag reflux) so I took 625 the past few days and my chest pains have stayed away. If I forget to take it one day, the heart pains return immediately. Hope this helps you :-)

It sucks, I can't stand more than 5 mins without feeling like I'm going to pass out

Is it rib pain?  If it is in the bones, it is often due to metal toxicity.  Lead in particular likes to store in bones, and it can be painful.  (Blood tests are not accurate for metals in the body--a provoked urine test is the most accurate.)  Re-mineralizing (like you did with magnesium) helps and is necessary, but ultimately, you need to get the heavy metals out if they are the problem.

It's pain in my chest right by my heart and then I'll also have pain on my left side in the rib range

I have rib (bone pain) pretty bad and am doing metal chelation, which is helping.  I get tightness in my heart, too.  I was just put on a homeopathic (called Circulo-Code) that cleared something out of my heart, which hurt for a day and has been better for the past week.  I'm hoping the heart pain is gone. 

I have had plenty of heart tests and the only things they ever found were a right bundle branch block and a mitral valve prolapse.

Yeah I've had multiple ekgs, ct scan and a echo cardio gram and they never found anything

I've had this too. I never had an EKG or anything done. My LLMD didn't think it was necessary. I was getting IV magnesium pushes mixed with other things (glutathione, C, selenium, b vitamins) and that was helping a lot, but then the ND took the magnesium out because it was lowering my blood pressure too low or something.

Now the heart symptoms are back. I don't get any relief from oral magnesium. I've tried all different formulations of it.
