Hi RRubi - welcome to the forum! It sounds like you've come to the right place.
Unfortunately, a lot of doctors out there just don't understand lyme disease. It's been known for a while now that one round of doxy just isn't enough in most cases, but due to misinformation, controversy, inaccurate testing, etc., there's a lot of mistreatment and misdiagnosis going on. Many of us here have been told that our symptoms are definitively NOT due to lyme disease, only to be diagnosed years later. In order to get adequate diagnosis/treatment, you'll need to see a lyme literate doctor (llmd). Please let us know if you need help finding one in your area.
I can't tell you for certain, but it definitely sounds like lyme and/or coinfections are the culprit here. I'd suggest looking at the "new to lyme" thread, if you haven't already - there's a lot of great information there to help you make sense of this whole thing.
I'm sorry that you have to go through this, but I hope it helps somewhat to know you're not alone, and we're here to help however we can!
