My sister had lyme 4 years ago. She could not take antibiotics cause she is allergic. She just prayed. Last month she was getting back pain and they retested her for lyme. The pain was gallstones and her lyme was totally healed no antibodies even came up. She had 6 of 10 markers.i dont want to get religious. But I feel it would be unfair to those struggling with lyme not to have hope. There is a Facebook site I discovered call lymewny if interested. So I continue my day taking my supplements ... praying for total healing..
Changed my diet and I'm in better shape now then I was before lyme. Lol. I am going to a disease infection doctor to get his opinion he takes health insurance then after him I am heading based on what he says to a lyme specialist doctor in Pennsylvania. Two friend of mine from church went to him one worst then the other were both doing much better and healthy. Both had their lyme for a few years before diagnosed. Please dont be afraid of asking me questions. Unless you walked thru this disease you dont understand the head games played on your mind.

I wouldn’t rely on an Infectious Disease Dr (unless he’s Lyme Literate) for Lyme diagnosis/treatment/advice.

It’s best you see a LLMD in Pennsylvania.

My goal is just to have resolution to this lyme disease.. Finalize getting it out of my system. I am confident the solution will be found for a full recovery. Dr. Rawls is a doctor that had lyme disease and he give his testimony on how he got better. I have not read his book, but what i have read it is good.

And if the ID Dr says you don’t have LD??

No it won’t.
There are many false negatives.

It may be just that your immune system isn’t able to mount a response

I was tested for lyme before and it was positive with the markers. Are you saying i can be tested again and not see antibodies in my system.. so would the ig test be the best way?

Yes you can test again and be negative - whether it’s IgM or IgG

My lyme story....started in 2013 with me waking up from a nap after dinner...with excruciating pain from the base of my skull, down the left side of my neck, across my left shoulder blade. My arm and hand were numb.
Went to the E.R.
Things improved for a couple months...and then went south.
Many, many symptoms piling on...was going to my Dr. every week with new symptoms.

Diagnosed in 2014. Have been treating ever since. Had close to 40 symptoms and am down to about 8 ish.
I believe I could be where I am now within 1 1/2 years...instead of 4.
I saw a LLND in my area from 2014 to 2016. I plateaued in early 2016. Self-treated in 2017.
And in Feb, 2018 flew across the continent to see Dr. J. (one of the most experience LLMD's there is)
If I had gone to Dr. J in the beginning I believe I would have been at the point I am within 1 1/2 years.

Girlie where is dr. J located? I do understand the pain. I happen to be past July. I had pain around my belly to my back and up my back. I could not sleep. I was diagnose 2 months 3.months ago.. was put on doxy for 3 weeks and then waited 2 weeks before taking lyme support and samento and bandoral. I have been on this treatment for a month. My concern is every new pain is it from lyme or not. My pain has decreased a lot to nothing. But if I over do it I feel it. Also I get some neck pain but is it from lyme or not. Also my ear gets plugged and I get a hum in my head. So you always wonder is it from lyme or other things.

Dr J is in Washington DC. I do a couple in-person visits per year...and in between I have phone appointments.

Well, I didn't have any aches/pains/symptoms prior to lyme...so I'm attributing all of my symptoms to lyme and coinfections.
Sounds like you have responded to your treatment. ie your pain decreasing.

Repeat testing can continue to show positive bands on the WB even after we’re in remission - so we need to treat until symptom free plus a few more weeks.
Then we need to keep an eye out for symptoms returning - indicating a relapse.

Girlie what did they give you for antibiotics and herbal supplements to help you with lyme.

I have been on Mepron/Ceftin/bactrim/mino (stopped bactrim due to skin issues)/Artemisinin/Enula/lactoferrin/xylitol (Babesia/Lyme)

Then Rifabutin/Dapsone/Daraprim/Ceftin/Mino/ clindamycin/ Cryptolepis/Lactoferrin/xylitol
For Bart/ persisters.
(Not all taken together)

Too many support supplements to list.

Yes - abx are: minocycline, bactrim ds, Rifabutin, Ceftin, dapsone, daraprim, clindamycin
Antimalarial - Mepron

Others are not abx

heartsinpain and girlie . my doctor gave me the name of Dr Corstiaan brass M.D. , so i was talking to my sister about seeing a infectious disease doctor. the funny thing is that my sister's boyfriend knew i was going to see a infectious disease doctor. He said that his mom had cellulitis fungal for two years and no one could not figure it out.. as soon a the doctor saw it.. he knew what it was and she was healed..the doctor he suggested to see.. DR. Brass... lol.. the same doctor my doctor told me to see.
