I went through the exact same thing - a lot of us do, actually. The medical community tends to have diagnosing fads, and as the fads changed I got a new diagnosis for my lyme symptoms - first it was depression, then thyroidism, then lyme, then "oh, even though you're sicker than ever, you can't still have lyme!" disease, then chronic fatigue syndrome, then fibromyalgia, back around to lyme, finally!
It's frankly unacceptable that your doctor would treat you that way, even though it happens so, so frequently. The best way to get accurate information is through people who have been through it - that's what we're here for!
A couple of suggestions - look through the new to lyme thread, and do some research on your own about
lyme and detoxing. It's possible that with the antibiotics, you're have a herxheimer reaction - very common - and even though even LLMDS often miss the importance of this, most of us will agree it's crucial to work on detoxing/getting your body healthy in general. I'd also start a new thread "looking for LLMD in Delaware," and make sure your email address is available so our members can make recommendations. Best of luck - we're here to help however we can!
