Hello, I'm totally fed up. I believe I had active LD about 5 years ago but was never tested. (Had FM, carpal tunnel, mega swollen wrists, migraines, auto immune thyroid problems and severe depression. I was bedridden for about 6 months, but thankfully somehow my body created a new normal for myself and today I'm coping and living without pain, but still get foggy and have some blood pressure issues that began when I was ill 5 years ago.

It seems like every few months I get rezapped by something and after reading some amazing posts here, I suspect it's those little buggers again.

I'm sick and tired of the exhaustion. While I am so very grateful for all that this illness has taught me about self love and love of life, I feel ready to tackle some form of treatment to finally rid myself of this disease and get back to giving and helping people 110% like I used to.

I'd be so thankful to meet an alternative healer or an LLMD in my city: Raleigh, or Chapel Hill Durham. I have a great MD but she doesn't know about chronic LD.

Thank you so much for your support and for taking the time to care for strangers through this site. Communities like these are changing the face of personal health for the better.

Hi Penny - welcome to the forum! I think it's wonderful that you're able to find gratitude for your struggles - it really does help to put things into perspective, doesn't it? Your attitute is truly inspiring!

I'd definitely suggest looking through the new to lyme thread - there's a lot of great information there put together by our members here that can help you mediate your way through all of this.

You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) doctor. The ILADS site is a great place to read to get you started on your Lyme journey.

Thank you for the warm welcome. The gratitude found me, really. I was in such a dark place, I didn't recognize myself. I remember being in so much physical pain and feeling tortured because my doctors and family told me that it was in my head and driven by my anxiety. It felt like the depths of hell.

and I believed it.

I totally changed my life. My career. Nearly my everything. I decided that life was too short to take poop from people or situations that didn't make me feel good. I started painting, singing, and playing with my kids. I started healing and before I knew it, I was a new and happier person and had better health.

None of it was easy, but it was so very worth it. Had I NOT had this illness, I probably would be stuck doing the corporate poop I used to do, and resenting myself for not having balls to change. LD was the catalyst for a big time change I needed to not only make me well, but to make me live a happier and better life.

I was recently bitten by another little bugger and developed a rash after finishing the 30 day course of Doxy given by my non LLMD. Although I've changed so much since my illness, one thing that has not changed much is my fear AND anxiety of becoming that ill again.

I've started the C/salt protocol today. Herx'ing until I started jumping on my mini trampoline. I'm trying NOT to be terrified. I have lots of supplements like rose hips and seasalt and homeopathy (ledum and rhus tox) to start to treat, I'm praying I can get to an LLMD very soon before I get worse. I've also ordered Buhner's Healing Lyme book.

If you had been bitten 2 months ago, finished a 30 day course of doxy 2 weeks ago, and you had a weird almost circular bruise rash around a tick bite, what would you do ... right now? Supplements? Begin ceftin? I'm trying to stay a step ahead of the anxiety, and be proactive. I know ya'll aren't doctors but I value your opinions so very much.
