Hi! I think many chronic lyme/co-party infections require all different types of anti-'s...antibiotics, antimicrobial, anti-yeast, antipararisitic, antifungals...
I have taken some babesia medicine that was anti-malarial and it wasn't a bad experience for me, although very expensive and difficult to tolerate for others. I don't think i was on it long enough unfortunately so i'm still dealing with Babs symptoms.
I think your doctor should describe what they are targeting with each medication, and describe the length of treatment in your plan. That way you can really understand what's going on more fully.
Do you take the two anti-malarials together? That's pretty interesting.
Also the length of the treatment and dosing schedules is important (either pulsing-rotating what med you take on each day) or if you should take them together or what should be all spelled out. I hope this helps!
