The lights keep dimming on me.

At first I thought it was a particular light, actually dimming -but, no, it seems to be any light, anywhere. It only lasts a second, but my vision dims and then brightens again. Is that a Lyme thing?

Also, I keep catching glimpses of something round and black, floating quickly across my field of vision - like a slow moving black softball that I see out of the corner of my eye. Lasts not even a second, and then it's gone again.

Floaters are very common with this illness. I noticed a lot of them when this lyme thing started but as treatment has progressed they are not as pronounced. Have not had the light dimming effect, but was and still am bothered by overhead bright lights.

Hey!
I haven't had the light thing either, but have definitely had the round and black thing out of the corner of my eye. I always look because I swear something's there...it makes me think I live in a haunted house lol.
I haven't had the light dimming thing but I have had only my right eye get blurry. When I went to the LLMD for my first appointment, he said they lump all eye things under "visual disturbances" because there are so many possible things that happen with your eyes/vision.

oh my gosh, you're the only person i have heard about who has also had this problem. this has been happening to me since i became acutely ill 3.5 years ago. i also have a ton of floaters.

i went to the neuro-ophthalmologist when it first started happening and he noted "pupillary instability"--my pupils were spontaneously dilating and contracting in ambient lite. this was before i got my lyme testing done and he wasn't sure what the cause was.

when i brought it up with my LLND, he didn't really comment on it. i can only assume it's from lyme.
