Bed bugs & Lyme?

I saw an article saying bed bugs have now been identified as another possible carrier of Lyme. I just stayed at hotel where I was bitten multiple times by bed bugs, told my doctor but he did not seem concerned.

This now makes me scared of hotels! I already avoid grassy areas, pets who have been in the grass, I spray myself with DEET if I have to be outside at night, I have to avoid the sun because of the doxy and now I have this too to worry about. I guess there is no going back to a normal carefree life.
