MD's are taking notice about Lyme

Hi everyone...Many of you know that I am a LLNP but I also work as a medical care associate for a company that is run my MD"s offering second opinions to patients.

I look through many of these cases where a patient cannot find a diagnosis and I see many signs of Lyme, but I am not inclined to suggest they get tested (wish I was).
Yesterday we had a meeting with the MD's to talk about the cases and I mentioned Lyme. Most of the MD's said they thought of Lyme and were open to suggesting it these patients, but that there was no proper testing for it.

I asked what their opinion was on Lyme and many said they knew it existed all over Canada, but if there was proper testing, they would have anyone who presents with even the slightest symptoms tested.
So I think as Lyme soldiers, we need to push more for better testing.

The Lyme fight has always been about getting the MD's to admit it exists, but I think the bigger issue is how little funding is being spent on getting accurate tests.
Clinic dx is not enough anymore. Many ppl are being treated with serious meds only with a clinic dx and that is not good enough.
The GREAT news is that, Md's are aware and want to learn more. I will be presenting the MD's I work with some info on Lyme because they want to educate themselves more.

Actually there is a group that is hosting a competition to come up with a fail safe diagnostic tool for Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. It's called TBDA (Tick-Borne Disease Alliance). Here is a link to their site, maybe you can find out more information through them.
