Good Morning, I have been experiencing many symptoms of Lyme disease for over a month now, i have had an MRI to rule out MS (Having spine MRI today just to make sure) However i have also been tested for lyme and the doctor told me all was negative. I asked for a copy of my results and saw that i did in fact test reactive for band 23 KD IGM?   Any advice would be greatly appreciated?   Thank you

Hi! Welcome to the forum. There is so much information here to help you on your journey. You should start by reading the 'New to Lyme? Start Here..' thread. It has information on interpreting test results. I, too, tested negative on all bands except 23 Igm and guess what? That is a Lyme specific band, meaning it would never have been reactive if you haven't been exposed to the Lyme bacteria! You need to find yourself an LLMD or an LLND. You don't necessarily have to treat with antibiotics. Lots of people treat with herbals. It's a matter of what you think is best for you. I was just diagnosed in July after a whirlwind of doctors trying to tell me I'm 'anxious' and 'neurotic'. And ya know what? I am but if I wasn't I would have taken all their dumb advice and ignored my symptoms and let them poke and prod me for God knows how long! No thanks! An educated patient is apparently a doctors worst nightmare.
Ignore them and listen to you body. You'll be glad you did!

Thank you for your reply Shabbychic. I honestly am beginning to feel like i am making this all up and doctors (like you said) think this is all stress. I have Balance problems, riniging in my ears, blurry eyes, nausea, different parts of me are either tingling or numb or weak, i am ehausted, i have serious brain fog and forget even the most normal words.......etc etc new day new symptom i feel like. So i was just begining to think they just missed MS and i will soon be diagnosed with it as i seem to have every symptom!
So anyway, I will seek out a more knowledgable lyme Doc and see what happens.

Not sure where you ended up on this, but I can tell you that I tested negative for Lyme in Dec 2011, with a six inch bulls-eye and severe pain/swelling all over my body.
The doctors kept saying negative, and finally I got a copy of my report. I was positive to band 23... the spirochete band.
I hope you found a Lyme Specialist.
It took me six months of searching before I found someone who retested me from IGenex in California... I was positive for Lyme, Bart and Babesia Duncani WA1 -- the worst.
