I'm athletic, or use to be, and have always had normal sweat. Since contracting Lyme and Bartonella and treating with abx's, my sweat now is not normal smelling. I can't describe it, but just a little foul smelling. I also sweat a lot easier as well. Anybody else experience this or is it just me VIEW IMAGE

Hi Dan,

I went through a period of smelling like a "wet fox" when I first started taking antibiotics, I got mine under control with detoxing

Are you detoxing enough? if not I suggest you start.

I'm now completely free of this symptom which is apparently caused by die-off combined with toxin overload,I hope you'll be smelling like a rose soon!

Hi Dan and welcome!

Does your sweat smell like ammonia?  Just curious...  Yes, detoxing is really important and you can read the instructions in the "New to Lyme? Start Here!" Sticky thread on top...

Thank you guys for replying. No, it doesn't smell like ammonia...maybe like dirty laundry. But I guess "wet fox" could describe it. Next time it rains I'll try to catch a fox and see. LOL I have noticed that since stopping the prescription abx, it has gotten back to normal. All my Lyme Dr has said is to drink a lot of water, but never said that it would help for detoxifying. Fact, she never brought up detox in the 7 months that I've been seeing her. I just started the lemon water and baths tonight. Except for detoxing, I HATE sitting in a bath for over a half hour being unproductive!

hello,

i have noticed this in myself recently--my sweat smells almost like burnt rubber. very weird. guess i need to step up the detox as well.
