Actually, by 'googling' "brain problems and Lyme", a person would end up with sooo many links, all saying to do something different that it probably wouldn't really be advisable at this point. From what I have seen with the years that I have been active on this forum, those that start using several different protocols are the ones that end up having the worst issues.
It's much better to keep it simple and follow what your doc is telling you to do. The detox instructions that can be found on this site in the "New to Lyme?" thread are enough to really help your brain issues, that and to be in treatment.
If anxiety is a real issue, talk with your LLMD about
it. Something like Xanax would be much better for you than a heavy antipsychotic med. And anxiety is very common for those who are living with these infections - some need help with it and some don't.
When you are in the late stage of these infections, it takes a lot of work on our part to heal, but we
must put in that work! It is sooo worth it!!
I was bed bound and having seizures, couldn't remember the name of anything or anybody other than occasionally, couldn't follow written or oral instructions or patterns and the list just goes on and on .....but with
lots of hard work and doing the right things (eating well, drinking lots of water, detoxing, doing my treatments), I've had amazing progress!!! You can too. Just hang in there and do the work that it takes. Like I said, it's really worth it!!
