Traveler, bless your cotton socks, and all that is above them! You do wear cotton? Barefoot is good too. In which case, if you're like me, bless your leathery soles.
Well, the MRI had to be rescheduled because even being his quietest, stillest ever, he's a wiggler.
The department pulled an 'unavailable' appt. out of the air and he's now on for Tues. with sedation. I'm uneasy about sedation but I think it's pretty much unavoidable.
I did say no to Gadolinium. The black box label is hairy. Bad for people with bad kidneys. The comment that some people's kidney trouble was found because they became horribly, untreatably ill due to this poison makes me think, uh, maybe...NOT! He's a bit big for guinea pig duty.
No one has suggested testing his kidney function but me. Let's not assume some kid who is having weird things like vision loss with no visible eye damage is functioning properly elsewhere. Because HE'S NOT! Sorry for shouting but AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!
The new appt. was not available yesterday so I don't know how it was managed, but Thanks 'I'. He said before no spaces for juvenile sedation until July 30. (I did make it clear that was not going to fly.) Even Tues. just leaves more time to be nervous.
Any links to typical Lyme MRIs? If it's something else I don't much doubt they'll find it but if it's Lyme it could bite them and they'd call the tooth marks an allergy.
I recall something about white plaques, (like ms?) but nothing more. I expect swelling near the optic nerve which is preferable to say tumors or strokes. I already had lots of silver hair before this. Really, it's not grey, it's not, it's not, it's not!
