I really need to get to the bottom of this head issue so am going to look into seeing a neurologist, preferebly one with Lyme experience.

Thanks for any suggestions.

My son went to a very nice neurologist who was lyme literate but I'm not sure to what degree. He was very interested in lyme and agreed to treat him beyond the primary doctor. He was referred to me by a woman who suffered lyme headaches and she sworn by him. Email me if you are interested.

What are your head issues exactly?

Almost all of my Lyme issues are in my head. I've had very few symptoms below my neck. This is my 4th week of being completely natural with my treatment. For whatever reason, my head decided to flare up big time this week. I have a spot that it seems to stem from, on the left side, behind my ear, above my mastoid bone. Any added stress and/or aerobic activity will cause it to flare up. My first test for Lyme I scored a 2.38 positive (above 0.90 is positive and then a Western blot is done). This was last August. I just retested and scored a 0.48. No Western blot was done because I was positive. My LLMD told me that this negative test result means nothing without a Western Blot. Frustrating.

The feeling I have is not pain, its a combination of first a burning sesnsation in the spot I mention above and then an all-around vice-like pressure. When I sleep it doesn't effect me and dies down. It's as if it gets inflammed enough to be traumatized and then is taking a long time to get better.

Last week at this time I was doing great. Very minor issues. My LLNP believes this could be my body trying to get itself back in order. I'm not totally convinced of this yet. She and I will speak tomorrow. This week has been the toughest in a long, long time.

Dr B - He specializes in treating Lyme homeopathically and is extremely knowledgable! No blood tests required but you'll leave knowing your Lyme levels in each area of concern (brain, heart, etc).

I'm new to this forum so maybe this is standard. It's wonderful to have answers though!

Here on the Lyme forum, we also don't want members posting the names of doc's that treat Lyme as they are being persecuted for giving us the kind of treatment that actually works and some have lost not only their license to practice medicine, but their entire practice as well. We need to protect those that are "in the battle field" with us!
