Well, I sure hope that it's just inflammation! That would be easier to deal with. I'm glad to hear that your LLMD will be treating you - but don't forget, you need to be active in your treatment. Learn all that you can!
To answer your question though - yes, you can have Neuro Lyme set in right away. As for the co-infections - remember testing is bad and it's a rare thing for someone to just get Lyme disease. There are usually co-infections, viruses and frequently parasites that are passed along with the Lyme. So just keep on learning so that you will know the difference between all of those and can help keep your treatment on the right track! Doctors are just regular people too.
