Symptoms predominately on one side of body?

My symptoms have been getting progressive worse lately. It all started with a round of steroids before I knew I had Lyme. Please, STAY AWAY from steroids if there is a chance you have Lyme!

So lately I've started to notice a pattern, that often my symptoms are only on the right side of my body, or specifically worse on the right side.

I've been getting rashes after a bath or shower, and yeaterday when I stepped out of the shower, I had red splotches all over my face, but more so on the right side. The right side of my neck had bright red splotches. Then, there is the strangest part...my stomach. It looked as though there was a perfect line down the very middle of my stomach. The right side was broken out and the left side looked completely normal!
Last week my right leg was breaking out in hives. I went to my Rheum. to get it checked out. They ran blood tests and said it looks like an infection, but I'm afraid nothing will show up because I'm sure these rashes are caused by Lyme.

I haven't seen an LLMD yet, my first appt is scheduled for Feb. 6th.

Does anyone have any experience with symptoms that seem to be worse on one side of the body?

In response,I can only say that my left side has always been worse than my right.

I can only attribute this to the fact that I'm left handed and so use my left hand much more and tend to push off on my left foot and leg. If the collagen has been eaten away by Lyme,it would make sense that the muscles that you use the most would be more painful.

Since I've started healing ,I've noticed that my right side definitely seems to be healing faster which could confirm my theory.

But, all this is, of course ;purely speculative,who fully understands this crazy disease anyway?

Lymer I see this is an old thread but I have the same symptoms- one sided pain, body rash after shower on right side etc.. Did you ever resolve your problems?

justascarf2 that’s very interesting information about Lyme being one sided & Bart being two sided. I didn’t think I had Bart but when my feet hurt it’s definitely both of them hurting badly at the sane time. Can anyone confirm this?

I had braces in my teens, but nothing truly just on the right side. I started having low back issues around 17-18 and I'm now 30. Regular chiropractic care for the last 6-7 years which helps some. I had a host of blood work last year which showed no alcoholic fatty liver and low testosterone. Otherwise I consider myself very healthy, I'm very active and not overweight. The last few months I've been getting massages weekly.

The one thing that is odd is a hot shower I do get rashes on one side. Most inflammatory issues area systemic and not just one side but I get pain and symptoms in every joint on the right side. I understand that Lyme tests can be falsely negative and I'm wondering if there's something else going on. I also feel that I have chronic fatigue. I've spent thousands of dollars on different supplements over the years and have never truly found the 'magic' solution.

Im clearly just guessing but its not uncommon for a personal to a cavitation in an old wisdom tooth space, If you can find a dds with a cavitat get a scan. I know of one in Phoenix and one outside Detroit. No downside to getting a scan-zero radiation with a cavitat

Never heard that lyme is one sided and Bart is two.
Doesn’t really make sense.

Foot pain is a typical bart symptom though and generally it is both feet.

ok thanks guys sorry I must have misunderstood. If you have just Lyme can your feet still hurt? I don’t know which I have but my feet are very very painful some days, do I most likely have Bart?

It is possible that you don’t have bart.
I would think Lyme can make any part of the body hurt.

Do you have rib pain or other bone pain?
A lot of nerve symptoms?

What about swollen lymph nodes anywhere?

(Some commmon bart symptoms - but they can be lyme too)

Thanks Girlie. I have bad nerve pain in my right shoulder blade and right arm. Once in a blue moon ill have numbness in my left arm. Plus the nerve pain in my feet. No rob pain or bone pain thankfully. Lots of anxiety and depression some days. The only time my lymph nodes got really swollen were when I was on Bactrim for a possible UTI this summer. I had a horrible Herx reaction where my feet hit swollen, my blood pressure and heart rate got extremely high and I was very dizzy. Thanks for all your help as usual!

I think it’s likely you have bart.

I have left shoulder blade arm and hand nerve pain.
It’s my most horrid symptom.

Are you functional with those nerve pain symptoms?
