my antibiotic treatment

I don't see many members taking clindomycin but I have been on this antiibiotic (600 mg twice a day) for 3 months and last month doxycycline 100 mg twice a day was added.  My LLMD knows I am quite sensitive to meds and I am wondering if this treatment sounds OK to those that know more than I do at this time.  I will be seeing my doc on the 4th and would like to be armed with more info.

Yes, I was on clindamycin. It's a very good drug for Lyme. Just watch out for C. Diff and make sure you take S. boulardii and extra probiotics on it. You could probably bump up the doxy, add a macrolide and a cyst med at some point to attack the forms other than the spirochete.

Yes I did get a lot of nausea on doxy. Especially in the beginning. It's best to take that with a LOT of food. If you take it on an empty stomach, it can be brutal. My body got used to it after a long time and I didn't get nausea anymore. My main problem with doxy was SEVERE sun sensitivity on my hands. I had a horrible blistering burn for months and then suddenly it stopped happening even though I had INCREASED doxy! It was really weird.

I used clindamycin as part of a Mepron protocol and I couldn't stay on it long-term because my liver enzymes went up (from the other med I was on). It was a fairly mild medication for me in comparison to other meds. I didn't have any problems with C. Diff. I was on it for about 2 months.
