lyme test one band positive

My dr did a western blot test (did not go to igenex) I had band 66kd positive. Doesnt feel it lymes, but gave me doxycylcine to take for 2 months. Any input of what the positive band means? I have all the symptoms of lyme - i also was dx with pots - which lyme could have caused - they mimic the same symptoms. thanks

I'm so sorry that your post has gone so long without any answers!
Band 66 is reactive when that person has been infected by B. garinii, a strain of Lyme disease which is usually found in Europe.

Lots of people infected with Lyme end up with POTS, so that alone isn't enough to rule out Lyme. I would say you need to see a LLMD. You need someone that knows this disease and isn't afraid to treat you properly. Do you have a LLMD lined up to go see?
