Hi ClayGirl!
Welcome to our forum! I'm so sorry to hear about
your daughter and what she's been through, although I'm glad that you found us!
If you haven't yet, it would be helpful if you read the "New to Lyme? Start here!" thread that sits at the top of the page. It's packed full of important information that explains much, helpful links and pdf's, symptom lists (as Lyme rarely travels alone!!), and even a list of questions that you can ask any doc that you are seeking treatment from!
Lyme rashes take all kinds of shapes and sizes, there really is no standard rash. Here are some pictures to help you see what I'm talking about
:
/sites.google.com/site/drjoneskids/rash-photos It's quite common for the standard tests that most doc's are willing to run to come back "normal" -even though one has Lyme or other tick-borne infections.
I would suggest that you get your daughter started detoxing now, before she even starts any treatment. You can find our recommendations for detoxing in the "New to Lyme?" thread. The reasoning for this is because it's the toxins from the bacteria that are dying that are causing her symptoms (
www.encognitive.com/node/5768), and when she starts treatment, then there will be an even larger number of bacteria dying and also a lot more toxins in her system.
Many times our bodies can't process the toxins fast enough to keep us from having even more issues, so if she starts now, she'll have her body detoxing as well as it can be when she does start treatment.
