Hi All, I wanted to thank all of you.....and whine a bit

Hi All,
First of all I wanted to thanks each and every one of you for all of your help on the forum!! You are reaching out to each other and to the newbies and helping each other!! Thank you!!! "smilewinkgrin: You all are great!!

Second, I was going to whine a bit. I'm in a flare/herx as of yesterday and am struggling more than just a bit today with not only physical symptoms but cognitive ones too. Our youngest daughter, and our oldest daughter with her hubby and both of my Grandsons were up for Christmas with us, and I played really hard outside with my oldest Grandson - he's 3 yrs old now!!!

We were blowing up mean guys and they were after us too, so we would have to run up the hill to hide. Tons of exercise, lots of hard breathing as I ran uphill carrying him!! LOL! I really had the time of my life playing with him, but I unwittingly sent myself into a flare/herx. Ugh.

So forgive me as I go lick my wounds. You all are doing such a wonderful job!! Thanks.

Thank you so much for your kind, encouraging words, Eco!! I agree with you that we sometimes have to just go out and play!! Especially with the Grandkids! Even though I now hurt! LOL! I think I got too much oxygen going, and of course all that exercise! Ugh!

You're allowed to whine!  And I think it's great that you were able to play with your Grandsons and run up hills!  Good for you! 

Yet you still make time and come to the forum to check on everyone.  You are a rare person indeed!

Thank you so much for all of your kind words Marie, WWJD, Denutsy, and DJ!! Although this forum is what it is because of all of us. We are definitely much more than just a forum here - we are a community!!

You all are sooo right though! Not only am I delighted that I was capable of playing so hard with my Grandson (YEA!! Happy Dance time if I wasn't so tired and sore LOL!!), but I will recover fairly quick - which are all more reasons to celebrate!! - although I don't think I'll be running up many hills for a while again! Giggle!

I won't ever forget that it's because of this forum, and all of you that I have found the healing that I have!! I've learned so very much from all of you, past and present members, and I surely wouldn't be able to do any of this had you all not been here for me as well.

So a big thank you to you all as well!!! and I hope that you all have the bestest Christmas!!!

Well, thank you, Heather's Dad! I'll tell you, if I'm going to over do on something, playing with the grandkids is one I don't mind!! I could sit and think of what I gained for having pushed myself like that - since I don't have to pay too high of a price any more! -and still be happy that I did it!! My symptoms are all fairly minor now - compared to what they used to be. I'm just fortunate that they don't live so close that I'm out over doing it all the time!!!

It truly is a Blessing to have reached this point in my life! I am in the drivers seat now! I'm no longer just suffering with the symptoms! I have lots of days where although my symptoms may slow me down, they no longer stop me from doing what I really need/want to do!
