Original Lyme test results, not sure if it's relevant, but...

here they are:

Lyme IgG/IgM Ab = 0.92

I recently read that these antibodies would not show up in bloodwork unless the patient has been infected with Lyme (and usually after a certain amount of time, as they don't always should up right away).

My western blot showed Band 39 was reactive, but that was the only one. So, my rhuemy says no Lyme. Not too shocking, for obvious reasons!

I might be wasting my time on these results at this point, but I thought I'd ask what others think. I can't see an LLMD until Feb. 6 so I'm going a little crazy waiting, and wondering...

My complete blood count came back "abnormal" about 5 weeks ago. Rheumy had it rechecked 2 weeks ago, still waiting on results and having serious anxiety, thanks to a whole host of symptoms, including serious insomnia and anxiety. Did I mention the anxiety?? :-/

When I got these Lyme results I was also showing low lymphocytes, elevated eosiniphils, etc. I hate that I'm playing a guessing game with my results, but my doc is an hour away and NOT very helpful at this point :(

Anyone care to share if you think these results alone are indicative of Lyme (per an LLMD)?

I'll venture a guess! :-)
Considering band 39 indicates that BmpA has been found, and it's specific to Lyme disease, I'd say that combined with the symptoms that you have, any LLMD worth their salt would treat you.

BmpA stands for Bacterial membrane protein "A".

Thanks Traveler! I love that expression, "worth the salt". I'll have to use that one! :)

What do I need to know about C-Reactive Protein, is that relevant to Lyme at all? I remember hearing about it but dont remember what I heard, lol!

Mine says < 1.0 - Does this mean anything?

Also, what the heck is Ferritin? Mine is normal, but on the low side - 27 (with a range of 10 - 291).

I'm going to check out those links now...

LOL! I think most people cringe when they 'see' me chime in!!! Giggle! I'm not the warm and fuzzy kind, you know?

A Ferritin test indirectly measures the amount of iron in your blood. So a normal test result means that you are not anemic! Good for you!

I was able to track what was going on in my body by using those regular blood tests that doc's love to do! I used this site a whole bunch to explain not only the initials, but what the test is and what it measures with the help of this site:

C-reactive protein (CRP) measures the amount of inflammation in your body. (labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/crp/tab/sample)

Many with Lyme have tons of inflammation, others not so much, but it's not indicative of Lyme disease.

I've used that expression, "worth their salt" for most of my life now. Salt used to be so very valuable that the Roman Soldiers used to be paid in salt! I'm glad that there's plenty to go around now!!
