Hi guys so I had I diagnosed lyme for 5months before I found out which is pretty quick I've realised compared to most anyway I've had 6 months of treatment and I feel 99 percent better! I sometimes feel tired but I have a baby so it's hard to know . Anyway at what point do you say no more treatment ?

Nervous mummy. I . AM. SO. HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! What great news. There is no better way to cheer some of us folks suffering up, then to hear a success story (PS - make sure you come back and visit on your 1 yr and 2 yr and 5 yr anniversaries of feeling great!). From what I hear, most drs treat for 2 months past not feeling any symptoms to make sure all the bugs are gone. And I, 100% plan on continuing Buhner's treatment for 1 yr even if I'm feeling better than I have in years.

Hey nervousmummy,

My doctor puts all his patients on pulse therapy the last few months of treatment - one meds for two weeks then off meds for two weeks. If when the patient comes back on the meds after 3 or 4 times and they don't have any herxing symptoms (as well as being symptom free for 2 months, a negative Igenex test, and what he feels is proper treatment) thats when he suggests treatment was over. Thats how we knew my daughter still had lyme. After being off the med for 2 weeks, she returned and she herxed again, and it wasn't just medication side effects.

I do hope you are coming to an end. Please let us know how your little one is!
