Because stress is such a bad thing for us, try finding ways to calm your "inner" self. Meditation - even what is know as mindful meditation (which is what I do a lot)- works well. Actually even a nice walk can be beneficial....especially when taken with your young son.
My Father-in-law who has moderate to severe dementia just moved in with us about
three weeks ago, so my stress levels are quite high now as well. I'm still looking for
every way I can find to help with my stress levels.
I'm a coffee and tea drinker, so a nice cup of chamomile or even peppermint tea helps to soothe me. Even a quick trip to the store - by myself- can be soothing and ease some of my stress, but so can a quick trip out to see my dairy goats - to talk and pet on them is helpful as well!!
