  and epsom salt for your baths

 and salt for your driveways.

I just ran out of Epsom salt!!! lol... Does anyone know if regular bath salts are ok? We have over 16 inches of snow already and this is supposed to continue till morning!! Are you kidding me??

So far we had at least 1 foot of snow and it's still coming down..  My elderly Mom lives on Long Island and I saw they got hit really hard, about 3 feet of snow.  After Hurricane Sandy my heart goes out to anyone who got this much snow.  

I knew this blizzard was coming to I stocked up on everything.  Think I'll make a fire right now in my fireplace and get toasty!   Later on I will go out and start to shovel, one shovelfull at a time.

Hope you are doing okay and Samjones, you too!!!

My heart goes out to all of you under snow at the moment.

I'm sick of the stuff!!!!!!!!

We've had more than our fair share in Germany over the past few weeks,then it melted and we've had some pretty hefty flooding.

Not so good if you live on the banks of a river,as I do.

As you might have gathered,I'm not a snow fan.

Keep warm,you over the pondies,it's only minus 2 here at the moment,I'm positively sweating!!!!!!!LOL

I too would like to extend my wishes of safety to all those going through this nasty bit of weather on the East Coast! Please be very careful!!!! Oh....and stay warm!!

Sam - I've just learned that sea salt can be used for those that have sulfite allergies, so in a pinch, anyone could use it instead of the Epsom salts I would think! Hope this helps!!! :-)

Thanks everyone! And trav, I will use the salt today. Thought I had one more bag of the epsom salt, but I guess I was wrong. Well, we can't even open our front doors. I can't see the hood of my car, only the top. I don't remember the last time we got so much snow, and so fast. The snow comes to my mailbox! Luckily, I didn't lose power, I'm sorry for those that did. Not even the main roads are plowed yet, so we will be stuck in doors for some time.

But my little Maine Coon kitten, who is an indoor cat, is enjoying the foot of snow on my porch, which is covered on 3 sides... At least I have something enjoyable to watch! Remember...I'm the crazy cat lady..lol
