Need help with igenex forms.

It has been a while since I last posted. I almost gave up on getting any help. I found a good doctor last summer but he passed away. The new specialist I saw was an @#%$. I had an ultra sound done by the doctor who passed away and it showed severe tendonitis all over  both of my legs. Have had this for 4 years after getting the severe flu. The new doctor accused me of lying saying there was on such test available. I did not have the results with me because he had a copy but refused to look for them. I have been through hell like everyone else. I demanded a Bartonella test but twice they have screwed up and lost my results. I want to pay for my own tests but I am so stressed and can’t figure out what and how to order the tests from igenex.com. I feel like I am reading but it is all so complicated. I live in Canada and want to get tested properly for Bartonella. I see a few forms but have no idea which ones to order. I don’t even see any prices. Can someone just  please tell me which form I need to order and the cost of it. I just feel so overwhelmed by the process as it looks so complicated. The regular lyme test they do in Canada came back as normal. After seeing the exact Bartonella rash on a website that I had I want to rule this out. When I told my doctor about that rash he became angry and said the picture was just of a man with stretch marks because he was fat and he threw the picture away.

For some reason I thought I had to know which test I needed before I ordered the test kit. "ToddPaul" when you say "none of the co-infection tests are too accurate except for maybe Ehrlichia and Myco" how accurate do you think they are? I was hoping getting this test done might tell me yes or no regarding Bartonella.

Yes, do call Igenix.  Tell them how you are feeling and what tests they suggest.  They are very helpful.  They will send you a free test kit.  The enclosed order for your bloodwork must be filled out by your doctor and I hope he is on board to do that.  You will have to tell him what tests he needs to mark off so make sure you write down what Igenix suggests.  The doctor must sign this form.  There is also another form that must be taken to the lab near you that has instructions for the lab tech to follow.  Have your blood drawn on a Mon. or Tues. and immediately take it to Fed-ex so it can be sent out promptly.  You don't want the blood to be delayed over a weekend.  I would call Fed-ex to see what time their pickup is.  You can then figure out what time to make your lab appointment.  You will have to wait for the blood to be spun so figure on at least an hour or more before you can take the kit to Fed-ex.  You can also ask the lab if they have a Fed-ex pickup.

Don't give up hope.  If you are close to a U.S. border you can find a LLMD and if that is not possible you can ask for help finding the right protocol using herbs/supplements.  From my short time on this forum I have seen great support so keep asking questions.

Onepixel, the tests for Bartonella are highly inaccurate. My LLMD said that the Bart test is more inaccurate than the lyme test. Even if you get tested through IGENIX and it comes back positive, your new Dr. probably doesn't believe in Lyme Disease and will refuse to treat you. He sounds like a complete Jack $*^ .

And, like summer said, you do have to have a doctor sign off on it. But do call IGENIX and ask for help and what they would recommend.

Do you have any way that you could get to a LLMD in the U.S.? I do believe that there are a couple on Michigan. You really need to see a LLMD to be evaluated, tested, and treated for Lyme Disease and co-infections.

As summer said, there are herbal protocols such as Stephen Buhners (you can order his book online) that you could use in place of prescription abx. It would still be good to have a good primary doctor to monitor your blood levels for liver function, etc. though. So, keep looking for a better doctor local to you.

I finally called IGENIX but the guy there said he could not help me when I asked for more info on what tests I needed. I will try and figure that out when they arrive. I have a doctor who will sign for the tests and I have found another doctore near by that will read the tests for me etc.

When I had the lyme and bartonella test last done that was negative I asked for the results but there were no numbers at all for me to look at. Just written words of negative.

During my last blood tests the ones below were flagged as not normal but I am not sure if they have anything to do with lyme/bartonella.
